personally;
I luv it xD (*doom* *doom*.... *tish* xP... don't think anyone got that but anyways )
it looks great...
and really brings out the logo...
the color scheme is also very fitting with the star, wall paper and chrome icons below xD (which also look awesome).

I think it looks brilliant... the bright colors make the logo stand out in the banner xD

Like it like always! Changing the banner reminds us of events.
Google did so. The Google banner changes when an event is near or on the day.

That would be because your not just gona change your logo for every event, its something you dont do.
