So all the mobile companies are really trying hard to create powerful smartphones to match PDAs and even laptops.


So which mobile technology you think will top the list in 2010?


Nokia with Symbian^3
the lastest symbian still in production but offering features that apple and nokia have been fighting about... the whole patent infringement war going on now?

Maybe Maemo or Meego
The brand new linux based system from Nokia
Meego is the OS that has intel processors incorporated into their structure. Intel and Nokia??? oooh


Maybe Android?
Google, Motorola and many other phones are seeing android as the new gen mobile OS ... do you?

Windows Mobile 7
Windows se7en, now Windows Mobile 7, is it still tops in the PDA sector? or do HTC and HP have to look for alternatives for their OS's

Iphone tech
Apple are moving to their new iphoneHD , will it have better , faster processing? will it beat the competitors?
Will it have flash compatibility?

This is what I am expecting.

Currently all those "advanced" items out there all seem similar to me.

Sure, they may have different features, but nonetheless, they are still part of the same "Sha'Bang" and aren't really worth substantial accreditations over the others.

I believe something new will come out, one that just makes all the others look like they have been made worthless.

If I had to pick one though, it would be the Droid.

The new iPhone 4G is coming this June, and it's gonna be great
with faster processing, multiple windows i.e u can have more than one app open at once,
two cameras for web chat (one at the front), possibly a chatting service like the BBM and ofcourse that online store with millions of apps, some of which completely free of charge!

I think the iPhone will prevail simply because they are known and know what they are doing considering they produced one of the first smart phones.

Apple might but then again they are always the beta testers then someone like Google or Microsoft comes along and takes what they had and make it better.

To me Google or another company out of the blue provides something that others don't. Time will only tell.

I have to disagree here, the iPhone has lost its luster and is now 'common'. I dont think that it will prevail and get a leg up on the other softwares including ones still to come.

@Jalo, it's Windows Phone 7, not Windows Mobile 7.

My prediction would be that iPhone will be leading the market share for about 2-4 years. Android will catch up after that.

Apple products are a little expensive and the improvements they make aren't as huge compared to Andriod.

I guess history will repeat itself. In the past, Mac OS was top in the computer industry until they remained complacent, and Windows cached up. The some thing probably will happen to the iPhone just that this time Andriod will be leading.

And it's a little too early to say what will happen to Windows Phone 7.

It has go to be iPhone. I mean, look everybody has an iPhone (don't correct me on that!) and they are great.
