I don't like the stars and their color...

The stars really clash with the actual genre/style of the image, imo.

I would work with the swirly lineart and focus on the positioning on that more- but if you really want to keep the stars, you might consider "softening" or recoloring them so they don't look out-of-place. (They also look a little squashed, try holding down shift when your free transforming them so they keep their shape.)

I like it except for the stars. The above stars would be nice for something else though so just use them on another project :]

It looks like the designs below the 2010 (excluding the stars) were hand-drawn. I would have preferred a fractal, but that is just me. Looks good.
